Teaching Pedagogies

A. Microlearning
Microlearning is the process of acquiring knowledge through small chunks of information used to meet a specific learning outcome.

B. Project-based Learning (PBL)
On its third year, TUA Junior High School is using Project-Based Learning (PBL) approach for holistic and active teaching-learning process. This pedagogy triggers not only the 21st century learning skills but also literacy skills and life skills. Project Based Learning is a teaching method in which students gain knowledge and skills by working for an extended period of time to investigate and respond to an authentic, engaging, and complex question, problem, or
challenge. (https://www.pblworks.org/what-is-pbl)

C. Design Thinking
TUA Senior High School will be utilizing Design Thinking, a non-linear, iterative process that teams use to understand users, challenge assumptions, redefine problems and create innovative solutions to prototype and test. Involving five phases—Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype and Test—it is most useful to tackle problems that are ill-defined or unknown.
